About us

Our journey began in 2018 when we took on the rebuilding of a Kentish manor house.  This was a complex conservation project which involved multiple forms of flintwork from the fine detail of galletting to randomly laying roughly knapped flint within garden walls.

We support our clients in both the formulation and implementation of new build designs.  We are happy to become involved within a project early on at the design stage or when tendering once plans have been concluded.

In addition, a large part of our work relates to the repair and rebuild of neglected or damaged flintwork.  To this extent we often work under the instructions of loss adjusters in pursuit of insurance claims.

We are well placed to take on projects throughout the country covering residential, ecclesiastical and commercial property.

The Kent Flint Walling Company was founded by Tom Leeming BSc (Hons) MPhil (Cantab) MRICS, a Chartered Surveyor with a wealth of experience spanning two decades.  The son of a medieval restoration architect, Tom is passionate about specialist and traditional methods of building work.
